Feedback
The idea that technology can revolutionize education is not new. Advances in information technology have enabled the “personalization” of the learning experience by providing access to learning and assessment resources – anywhere, anytime. eLearn.Punjab aims to facilitate and encourage the use of educational technologies by providing digitized content, relevant supplementary resources, and online assessment tools for students and educators. Digitized versions of Science and Math’s subjects from class 6th to 10th is available online. After the development of digital books, now eLearn.punjab aims to implement these digital books at public schools.
This pilot implementation helps the initiative in following terms.
-
To address technological gaps.
-
To address adoption issues.
-
To address content weakness.
Scope of Implementation
It includes 200 multimedia classrooms. Each classroom is equipped with one Semi Smart TV (40 inches) and one Android tablet. Offline content is provided at internal/external storage of the tablet and on content servers.
Few content servers are provided to each school for extensive content storage and real-time feedback from tablets.
For this initiative eight schools have been selected. Schools details are mentioned below in tabular and graphical representation as per names, sections, categories, gender and Rural/urban division.
Teachers are backbone of every culture without them no learning innovation takes place in a country. The content eLearn.punjab is providing is very user friendly and helpful for the teachers.
